Bottom Line

A free breakfast, pool, and hot tub are the best features of the budget-friendly Best Western Innsuites Phoenix Biltmore. An evening social hour and an outdoor patio with grills encourages camaraderie amongst guests, while a business center, public computers, and a meeting room are nice features for business travelers. The 111 modern rooms have a sleek brown-and-white decor and convenient amenities such as microwaves, mini-fridges, and deep soaking tubs. Overall, this Best Western offers a good value, but travelers may still want to compare rates and amenities with the Homewood Suites by Hilton Phoenix-Bitmore, which has a free shuttle.

Oyster Hotel Review

Value chain hotel with a sleek interior that caters to families

The Best Western InnSuites Phoenix Biltmore is housed in a blocky concrete building that’s accented by palm trees. Its unwelcoming exterior doesn’t reflect the warm and inviting nature of the interior. Guests step into a warm, sleek lobby with wooden floors and trendy brown carpet that extends across two levels. The long, glossy black-and-tan reception desk looks over an elegant lower level where there's a brown couch near a fireplace, a line of public computers, and large, trendy, sepia-toned photographs on the walls, plus a flat-screen TV. The breakfast room is spacious and made up of wooden tables and cream-colored leather chairs. It’s mostly a family crowd here, though there are a significant number of couples and business travelers, too.

Within driving distance of most attractions

Phoenix is best explored by car from Best Western InnSuites Phoenix Biltmore. The Phoenix Convention Center is a 15-minute drive away. It takes 16 minutes by car to reach the Desert Botanical Garden and 17 minutes to reach the Phoenix Zoo. Piestewa Peak Park -- an eight-minute drive away -- has good hiking. The upscale shopping area of Bitmore Fashion Park takes nine minutes to reach by car. The closest dining options are a 13-minute walk from the hotel, and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is a 14-minute drive away.

Sleek brown rooms with flat-screen TVs, microwaves, and mini-fridges

Rooms at this hotel have sleek decor, with a brown-and-white color scheme that borders between homey and trendy. White padded headboards stand out against brown textured accent walls, but the ensemble works well with the brown carpet with dark-floral swirls. The wooden furniture has white drawers and matches the white linen beds and headboards, but most pieces look like they were ordered from an IKEA catalog. Amenities include flat-screen TVs, coffeemakers, microwaves, and mini-fridges in all of the rooms. The bathrooms have brown tiles and shower/tub combos with deep bathtubs, and hairdryers and basic toiletries are provided. Travelers should note that there have been past complaints of noise from other rooms, smells, and cleanliness issues.

Free breakfast, pool, hot tub, and business center, plus free hotel-wide Wi-Fi

This Best Western has all the expected amenities of the brand. The hotel offers a free hot breakfast and an evening social hour with beer, wine, and snacks in the on-site PJ’s Cafe and there are vending machines for a late-night snack. There’s also an outdoor pool and a hot tub surrounded by lounge chairs and a cabana, with a patio and grills nearby. The hotel also hosts a free monthly barbecue by the pool for guests. The fitness center is tiny, with two cardio machines and a dated weight machine. There's free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, and business travelers can make use of a business center and public computers in the lobby, or book the hotel’s single meeting room. A coin-operated laundry room is a nice perk for long-term guests. Some pets are allowed, and there's no fee for parking.
