Budget travelers and groups seeking apartments near nightlife and the beach are drawn to this simple property that's about a 10-minute walk to the beach. A handful of features include an outdoor pool and kids' pool, a shop selling drinks and snacks, and a bar that offers a game area and computer corner. The apartments are basic and dated, with old amenities like tube-style TVs (plus Wi-Fi isn't reliable), but they have separate living rooms, modestly-equipped kitchens, and large private terraces. A lack of air-conditioning is a big downer, as is the overall tired feel of the place. For a budget option with air-conditioning, check out Hotel Lido or the Hotel Perla Residencia, both of which also offer free breakfast.
Simple, no-frills budget apartment hotel with dated, but clean interiors
Occupying a 17-story high-rise, the kind of building that the area's rife with, the Apartamentos Primavera Loix is a fairly basic value option geared toward budget travelers on vacation. Interiors, though a bit outdated and lacking character, are clean, functional, and pleasant enough. Sleek tiling in the lobby is complemented by blue seating and occasional wood panelling. Other common areas, like the bar, are no-frills spaces devoid of decor. The property particularly attracts groups of friends keen on enjoying the beach and the nearby nightlife. Overall, it gets mixed reviews from past guests, some who commend the cleanliness and find the property to be a good value in a good location, while others cite issues with the lack of air-conditioning and the overall dated and tired nature of the hotel.
The hotel is situated a couple of blocks from the beach (about a 10-minute walk) in an area home to many other hotels and lots of bars. Guests keen on enjoying Benidorm's nightlife should be happy here, as there are lots of options within a short walk, as well as some restaurants and cafes. Note that the hotel is right by what some call "Mugger's Alley" and that some guests deem it a sketchy area, bur many remark that it's safe and brightly lit at night. Benidorm's old town center, full of dining and shopping options, is about a 20-minute walk away or a 10-minute drive. The bus station is about a 23-minute walk away, or an eight-minute drive from the hotel. The nearest airport is in Alicante and is about a 45-minute drive, or about an hour on the by bus.
Dated apartments have living rooms, kitchens, and private terraces
Apartments here are dated and fairly basic in terms of decor, but they're clean, spacious, and convenient for families and groups traveling on a budget. White walls and tile floors are the backdrop to simple wooden furniture. All apartments have separate living rooms with striped sofas, as well as dining areas and kitchens equipped with two-burner stoves, toaster ovens, fridges, sinks, and limited cooking and dining equipment. Amenities could use an update: TVs are small and of the older tube-style variety. The rooms also have telephones and safes, but the free Wi-Fi is spotty and there is no air-conditioning. All apartments open onto fairly large private terraces furnished with outdoor tables and chairs. Clean, tiled bathrooms have shower/tub combos, toilets, and bidets, but fixtures are due for an update and toiletries are not supplied.
Outdoor pool and kids' pool, bar with games area and computers, and small shop for drinks and alcohol
A couple of extras add value to a stay here, but features are as basic as the apartments. There's an outdoor pool surrounded by a spacious pool deck lined with loungers, plus there's a kids' pool with a waterfall feature. A poolside bar, with seating spilling out onto the pool deck, functions as the hotel's main common space. It's fairly no-frills, but it offers a game area with billiards and air hockey as well as a computer corner. A number of items, including snacks, pool/beach gear, and other sundries are on sale here. There's also a small shop selling a variety of snacks, drinks, and alcohol. Parking is available for a fee. Wi-Fi, though free, isn't always reliable.
